Child Sponsorship
Sponsorship transforms a hopeless child and changes their entire destiny. They receive the following opportunities and services not available to other poor children:
Sponsorship covers the cost of school fees, clothing and school supplies.
Health - the health of a sponsored child will be monitored, and medical care will be provided when needed. Education about hygiene and general health is included. Some children receive supplementary food assistance.
Social Development - every Saturday the children attend Center Day where they participate in group activities, including sports, singing, and native dancing. Children with special emotional needs receive counseling as well.
Spiritual Development - Through ANLM's various youth programs such as Center Day and Summer Camps, sponsored children learn to live a life of healing and hope through Bible studies and a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
How it works...
An individual or a group invests in the life of a child with a monthly donation of $35. In addition to the financial support sponsors are encouraged to communicate with their children and if possible visit them in Rwanda. This helps establish a bond of lasting friendship that goes far beyond meeting physical needs. The child is encouraged and their confidence and self-worth grows immeasurably.
